The Australian Education Academy’s Automotive Department is widely regarded as a provider of first class training programs that utilise the very latest in automotive training equipment. All courses provided by the Department are industry focused and, wherever possible, designed to meet the needs of individual students and employers.
Students are provided with a wide range of fundamental principles relating to industry practices and procedures including occupational health and safety, safe environmental practices and current diagnostic and repair techniques.
Students will be taught how to diagnose, service and repair faults in motor vehicles weighing up to 2 tonnes; also how to diagnose, service and repair faults in light vehicle engines, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical systems and components. The structure of the course gives students a sound understanding of the vehicles' construction, component identification and operating principles.
You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate competency in the course units. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will know in advance about the type of assessment and the how it will operate.
You will gain skills in all aspects of the automotive electrical or mechanical trade (Depending on the course you choose).
This course may lead to work with an employer in the automotive industry or potentially running your own small business.
Automotive graduates are in constant demand in such areas as:
