AEA Institute has made available a number of scholarships annually to assist students experiencing financial hardship and/or educational disadvantage who are commencing full-time undergraduate studies for the first time ever, at any Victorian campus of the Institute
VALUE OF SCHOLARSHIP
A SSS is valued at $1000 per year paid in two instalments of $500 after confirmation of enrolment at census date each semester for the term of the scholarship. Payment is usually before the end of April and September. If part-time study is approved, the SSS will be paid in an instalment of $250 each approved semester, for the equivalent number of full-time years.
TERM OF SCHOLARSHIP
The SSS is tenable for the normal duration of full-time study for the diploma course in which the recipient is first enrolled.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must normally meet all of the general eligibility criteria listed above to be considered for an SSS, and be able to demonstrate financial and/or educational disadvantage. This scholarship is open for both international and domestic students.
SECECTION PROCESS
APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: 24th February 2011. AEA Institute ACADEMIC BOARD is responsible for the allocation of SSS. Eligible applications will be scored and ranked according to the following criteria: financial need; hardship and deprivation; responsibility for others; personal circumstances; and educational disadvantage. ONGOING ELIGIBILITY
SSS holders must continue to meet 80% CLASS ATTENDANCE for all scholarships. A SSS cannot be transferred to another Institute.
This award is given to an AEA employee for his or her exemplary efforts on behalf of the AEA during the past year. Successful candidate for AEA Employee of the Year Award must be made by a majority vote of the AEA Management Team and Academic Board Members. Any AEA employee (Except Management Team) is eligible for this award – regardless of full- or part-time status. Nomination for this award must come from a fellow employee of the company.
In the narrative and supportive materials, show how the employee has displayed excellence in these areas:
- Work Performance/Productivity
- Judgment
- Initiative
- Integrity
- Dependability
- Cooperation
- Citizen Relations
Include any specific projects in which the employee went "above and beyond" his or her duties during the past year. Nominations will close 30th September of each Calender year. Please forward your nomination proposal to: General Manager, Ms. Wendy Evans. Proposal should be less than 1000 words. The award will be presented at end of the year graduation ceremony. VETTRAK Coordinators are responsible to issue statement of results, monitor student attendances, updating student contact details, issuing of class lists and issuing confirmation of graduation letters.

Student Contact Officers will undertake your enrolment at AEA. They will also do the induction program with you and issue you with a student ID.

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) is a health insurance you and your dependants are required to purchase as a condition of your student visa.
Under this agreement, you pay an OSHC premium for the entire length of your course with your first instalment of tuition fees. This means that you are covered from your arrival in Australia.
Please note that it is condition of your student visa that you maintain current OSHC for the duration of your visa. If you need to extend your OSHC (e.g. you fail some units and need to extend your time here), it is your responsibility to do this directly with the OSHC.

Australian Education Academy Pty Ltd offers students recognition for skills and knowledge that they already possess. In this way, students may not need to attend all classes, but can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for some competencies. Where recognition is granted, the student may complete the course in less then the normal duration.
To apply for RPL, complete an Application for Recognition of Prior Learning Form and submit it to any Australian Education Academy Pty Ltd office. Applications should contain relevant supporting material, i.e.: Past Certificates, Results of Assessments and any industry and/or life experiences.
The application will be assessed and the applicant will be notified of the result before the intended course commences. The applicant may be required to meet with the CEO or Training Manager to discuss the application.
